New computer setup in iTunes

I purchased a new computer and when I downloaded the new iOS 7 I wanted to back up my applications on my iPad so that I could transfer them to my iPhone. The application said I already had another computer by another name that was authorized to be used as a back up. How do I change to my new computer so that I can back up my iPad applications to transfer it to my iPhone. I lost all of my applications on my iPhone when I downloaded the iOS 7. I backed up my phone before downloading the new software all of my pictures all of my messages all of my contacts were there but my applications were not. How do I make this new computer my primary computer and transfer these applications.

From your OLD computer...

Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..
