Apple TV 6.0 - Auto Software Update

Hello,

I'm glad that I didn't end up in a bricked Apple TV by trying to update it to 6.0 Now reading the 6.0 release notes, it seems it has a feature which updates the software automatically.

So my question to you lucky all for whom the 6.0 update worked somehow... Does the update provide you an option to disable the auto software update?

Yes, you can. In fact, it was off by default for me. I had to turn it on.

Thanks for the confirmation. It's good to know that as I wouldn't want to be a victim of a bad update.I would keep it off for sure.

Yeah, seeing the issues people are having with 6.0. I do feel I got lucky and it does make me worry about future updates. I'll most likely turn it off just in case.
