Can I upgrade to OS Mavericks without installing OS X Mountain Lion?

Hi, I' currently in OS X Snow Leopard now and I just wanna ask that if OS Mavericks would be available already, can I jump update to it? (meaning even if I don't install Mountain Lion)

Thanks guys! Your answers would be much appreciated. 🙂

Mavericks will be distributed through the Apple Store, just like ML is now. No need to load Lion or ML.

Provided, of course, that your Mac is compliant with the requirements for Mavericks - we don't know what they are yet, but they will be at least those for Mountain Lion which are:

  • OS X v10.6.8 or later
  • 2GB of memory
  • 8GB of available space

and the supported models are:

  • iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
  • MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
  • MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
  • Xserve (Early 2009)
  • MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
  • Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
  • Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
