I was using the Instagram app for about two weeks, and the images were saving to my camera / photos just fine. Then one day, the images stopped saving. It was super easy to fix though. I just went to Settings and scrolled all the way down to my apps.

Settings > Instagram

Then I made sure that Instagram had access to both Photos AND Camera. Now it's working fine again. Wondering why it stopped giving the app access at one point, but in the end, it all works out.

Sadly, I have the same problem.

NOTHING WORKS TO FIX IT. I have deleted the app on my iPad, iTunes, and turned phone on and off, reinstalled, etc, and nothing works. The photos simply will not save to my camera roll in iOS 7 with Instagram 5.01.

INSTAGRAM OR APPLE PLEASE HELP.

I can no longer use Instagram on my iOS devices since this bug. I have to use my android phone now since it does save photos on the android version. I filed a bug report with Instagram but have heard nothing since.

I have an update, everyone:

It appears that you have to use a filter on the photo that you are using in Instagram before it will create the Instagram folder in iOS. If you just crop or rotate, then share to IG, the folder and image will not appear in the camera roll. If you use a filter, the image should appear. It's very buggy, and a fail compared to the android version.

I hope someone at IG is monitoring this and working on a fix. Agreed, incredibly frustrating problem.
