Q: Airplay and Spotify help needed.

Hi

 

I recently bought a Airport Extreme (5th Gen) and Airport Express (2nd Gen), I wanted to setup a wireless network at home to stream Spotify.

I've set up the network which works fine.

 

Spotify streeans the music via an optical cable from the AE to my B&W Zepplin and as you can imagine it sounds great......apart form the stutter! Just an odd blip here and there sometimes often then not so bad.

 

To be honest I feel really let down.

 

I'm currently experimenting with various setups, the best so far being the AE on the 2.4Ghz and the Pad, phone etc on 5 Ghz. Thought I'd cracked it to be honest, managed to get a full song without any problem and then it started again.

 

Any help would be great.

    Had enough with Airplay, nice idea but it's not finished yet. The amount of problems on the web is incredible.

     

    Apple should be ashamed.

     

    Installed Sonos today, yes it's a different concept but boy what a joy to set up and listen to crystal clear streaming......

     

    So I suppose in the end I got a great extended wifi setup and top streaming. Just more equipment than originally thought!
