Burning Audio CD vs Burning MP3 CD

When I press the burn icon in itunes to create an Audio CD is the quality as good or better than if I make an MP3 CD using the files backed up on my PC with another program.

Thank You in advance

The audio quality will never get better than your source.
So if your source is an MP3 file on your hard drive, your audio Cd will sound like the MP3 file. Only if you made a losless copy of your CD music (i.e. just copied the file from your CD to your hard drive and not ripping it) you may hear a difference between the Audio CD and and the compressed MP3 CD.
When you use iTunes to import your CDs in AAC format, the difference is hardly noticable.
