why cant i crop my wallpaper picture the way i want?

why cant i crop my wallpaper picture the way i want? i do not care for this new feature that automatically sets pictures to fit the screen! it zooms in on the pictures, blows them up and restricts you from zooming OUT! this is very frustrating! APPLE PLEASE FIX THIS!!!

You can't fix it completely, but go into Settings > General > Accessibility and turn on Reduce Motion to reduce the effect.

You can also go into your photos, crop them how you want and take a screenshot. Use the screenshot for your wallpaper and zoom in or out to get it framed correctly.

Again, neither is perfect, but both help.
