Sep 23, 2013 11:10 AM in response to eddie_chienby Podcaster,Many people have reported this issue is related to the micro-USB cable itself. The wrong cable can cause you to:
a. Not see the ATV mounted in the iTunes sidebar.
b. Allow you to see ATV and run the Restore, but still fail the Restore.
You might try a different cable. I'm guessing it has to do with the voltage running through various cables, and/or the data "traffic" going back and forth in the cable. Apparently not all cables are alike.
