iOS 7 control center - Calculator

Yes, I too am wondering why something as simple as a calculator cannot come with iOS 7 on the iPad mini. What gives?

The iPad has never come with a calculator or weather app which is why you don't have them.

Why keep these two things from the iPad and include them with the iPhone?

It's a shame that Apple cannot be consistent (specifically - by providing a built-in calculator app on the iPhone, but not providing it on the iPad.) It's a loss for them, too. I instructed our school districts to abandon iPads in favor of Android tablets because Apple cannot provide basic needed tools by default like other tablet providers can do.

With limited staff and resources, we don't have the time to browse through calculator apps and install them on hundreds of iPads. We needed an "out of the box" solution for our schools. I am posting this message in the unlikely chance that an Apple employee recognizes the consequences of this decision and shares it with upper mangement.

You're right. Posting here it is very unlikely a Apple employee will recognize it and take it to upper management. You need to contact Apple directly.

Think about it though - there are perhaps 300 different calulators in the store - many of them are free. If they picked one for you, this board would be full of people complaining that they dont like this or that feature. The app store - for free - gives you a lot of choices. Pick one you like.

Honestly, probably not much of a consequence for Apple. And how much time did you spend researching anti-malware apps and strategy for those Andriod devices? You did take that into consideration, didn't you?
