ios 7 music app doesn't show alphabet down right side

The alphabet is visible in Album and Song view. Its not there in Artist view.

Which model phone do you have?

I have a 32 GB 4S and the alphate is visible on, Artist, Songs, Albums, Composers and Genres, not visible on compilations and playlists.

Sounds like you might need to take it to apple since you alreade did a restore.

I would hate to suggest this, but you might need to restore as new and see what happens before you restore from a backup.

You might also try Reset All Settings in Settings => General => Reset. This will not erase any content, it will just reset all the settings on the phone to factory default.

Did this already. Didn't work.

My wife and I updated to iOS 7 at the same time from the same location with identical phones (4s). She has the letters I do not. I just updated to iOS 7.0.2 and still nothing. My last hope, for now, is a genius appt I have tomorrow.

I have the same issue. it is resolved now. the reason that alphabet wont show is because you artist or songs counts are under 50..it will show alphatbet when you add more songs or artists

That makes sense now. My wife has hundreds of albums. I have 22 that are worthy of storage space. Bummer since my favorite album starts with X.

This is pretty annoying. On iOS 6 i could tap on the Artist (quickly through the A-Z), see all the Albums and pick one and boom played the song. Now i have to scroll to the Artist, scroll through all of its albums?! I often have more than one album of an artist :-)

It seems more design-heavy than functional

It is pretty annoying, I had the same problem untill I figured out what was wrong. If you want to get the alphabet back on the right side of the music app on iOS 7, you need to have over 100 songs, not 100, but over 100.

It's 50 actually.

Settings >Music > "Show All Music ( Make sure it's "green" ) this should fix it
