Welcome to the Support Communities!
I would suggest first quitting the Mail app on your device.
Then confirm that you have made all of the changes that you need to your Apple ID account (including password, email address, rescue email address, etc.)

"...remember to update all of the features and services that you use with your Apple ID."
Then restart the iPhone and try again ....
