Q: AirPort Time Capsule Question

I just purchased the AirPort Time Capsule as a hard drive for some of the devices in my house. Will setting up the ethernet to the AirPort affect the wireless connection for the other devices that will not be backed up by the time capsule?

    Your asking a bandwidth issue.. but I am not sure I am catching the import of the ethernet.

     

    I think you have to spell out ethernet to what..

     

    For example if you are talking about network of the TC itself to the existing network.. wireless join without ethernet is a bad idea now and always. If you plug it into the main router by ethernet it will be much better.. and if the clients join the TC by ethernet.. which will only work in this case.. they will not slow internet performance of devices.

     

    If you backup over wireless it will affect internet perfomance at least during backups..

     

    Ok.. I have covered a couple of scenarios.. spell it out in more detail if I missed the mark.
