after installing i0s 7 siri doesn't talk

Nothing works for mine. When I look at what has access to my microphone it doesn't list Siri and I cannot find where I can give it access. Mine was fine before the IOS7 update as well. I didn't do the first update that we got because so many of my friends had issues. I didn't do an update until this last one (before I got the update notification last night...which I haven't done out of fear it will mess my phone up more) and now Siri won't work and niether will the voice to text function. I've turned the phone off, then did the reset and I even restored the phone to factory and did the back up and it still doesn't work. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!! As much as we pay for these phones we shouldn't be having this many problems after doing the updates that APPLE makes to fix functionality. Updates are suppose to enhance your phone, not mess it up.

So mine was set to "Always" BUT I turned it to Hands Free then back to "Always" and I finally got the Siri voice back.

I learned by trial and error that turning Bluetooth off allowed me to once again use Siri. I don't understand why that matters, but it worked on my iPhone 5 using iOS 7. VERY frustrated by the situation for several days.

I think I was wrong about Bluetooth being the issue because now that Siri is working she speaks when it is on or off. But, I had restarted my phone before changing the Bluetooth setting, and I think THAT is what actually fixed Siri. I leave my phone on all of the time and rarely completely shut it off. I left it off about a minute and then turned it on and Siri worked.

Same prob for me all i did was just change the language for siri to Britain and then i can hear siri speakiing, but when i put it back to US. It doesn't work siri doesnt speak, so maybe try changing siri voice language to Britain. Let me know whats going on. Cya take care

I think this will work for you it worked for me. Turn of your phone then you turn it back on.If that doesn't work check your settings.

This worked for me:

1. Disable Siri in Settings
2. hard reset cache/power down - hold home button, the. Press and hold power until phone restarts and you see the apple
3. I Confirmed no Siri with headphones, held play nothing came up
4. turn on Siri in settings
5. test Siri

Not sure if you've found a solution to your problem yet. I discovered this issue this morning using maps! When I found my way home I played around with my phone and me and Siri seem to be on speaking terms again! I went into settings >maps>driving &navigation> pause audio spoken was on, I turned it to off position. Went into maps Siri spoke YAY, held home key down and she spoke again! WOOP WOOP. If you haven't figured it out yet try this. Hope it helps.
