Q: How can I put email in designated mailbox on desktop and have them not go away on iPad or IPhone

How can I place emails in designated mailboxes on desktop but not have them disappear from my iPhone or iPad? If I place them in mailbox they disappear from other devices.

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4), share icloud with ipad and iPhone

Email does not belong on the Mac desktop.

On your Mac, open System Preferences > iCloud. Make sure Mail is selected.

On your iPhone and iPad. Tap Settings > iCloud

Make sure Mail is switched ON.
