Hello, I am trying to upgrade from OS X 10.6.8 to OS X Mountain Lion on a MacBook Air. I bought the App from the App Store but I get the message "Paused" in the downloading icon at the Dock. Any help? Thanks a lot!!!

Open the App Store, go to Purchases and press Resume next to Mountain Lion. Make a backup of your data with Time Machine or Disk Utility's Restore feature before upgrading, and check that your applications are compatible > http://www.roaringapps.com

The problem is that there is no resume button. The only one is the download button. Seems like the app is stucked for some reason. I tried several times on trashing the icon and start all over again. But the outcome is the same . I also downloaded a game app to see if it kind of unstuck the whole process. It downloaded but after that OS X still did not. Thanks a lot again!!
Not only is the OS X Mountain Lion download stuck but it looks like it's not even detected by the App Store. Press the download button to download Mountain Lion and see if it resumes the download or if it starts from the beginning of the download
Yes, I think you are right. It does not detect the app. I already press the download button several times and it goes to the same place. I also force quitted everything, shutted down and restarted again. When I restart the OS X icon appears at the dock again with the "paused" status.
Open Finder, go to Applications and delete the Mountain Lion installer. Then, restart, open the App Store, go to Purchases and download Mountain Lion. Don't restart while it's being downloaded, or you will lose your download progress
Hey, we finally did it. I found the resume option in the Mountain Lion Icon at the dock. I just kept pressing the icon and presto, the option appeared. Now is downloading.
