Starting a podcast/ video show.

I have a 2012 imac 16gb ram, fusion drive souped up processor, a 2013 macbook air, heil pr40 microphone, i think i have everything i need to start it. But is there a way to video stream without using the isight camera and use a canon and what software should i do?
