OS X 10.8.5 Screensaver access to Aperture lost

Prior to the latest OSX release, the screen saver had direct access to Aperture libraries so that you could have your own photos displayed on the screen saver.

Now all that is available are a few default collections and the option to browse to a particular directory - which does no good since Aperture photos are stored internally to the app.

Has anyone else encounted this issue?
