Unread mail count is wrong in iOS7 for Yahoo.

i have the exact same issue and apple support have escalated to technical support. Might be days before we hear.

it's not just yahoo mail...it is all mail...i have the same issue with mail from secureserver.net

I have the same issue to with Hotmail. It has something to do with an iCloud account in addition to my hotmail account. When I look under Mailboxes > Accounts, I see 2 accounts: Hotmail (with an Outlook icon) and Hotmail (with an @ sign icon) (New Iphone mail application?) All my mail is going to both accounts. And it is adding the emails up for both accounts. How can I remove the Hotmail with the @ sign icon?

that's fine Cheis 112, except I have ZERO message in my iCloud account and yet still showing 147 unread messages in my business email though all messages have been read.

Than what is the email account that has the @ symbol icon?

Ok .. I followed what other people with the same issue did and it worked.

you need to delete out the email account and add it back in. In my case, I deleted out all my hotmail accounts and entered it back in using outlook as my choice. All is good now. For some reason the upgrade created two identical email accounts.

Same problem for me, tried all the steps highlighted here. Added Yahoo account back in, and now back to 31 unread when it should be zero.

I'm guessing apple needs a fix or patch for this :(

I also have this issue with yahoo mail. The native yahoo mail client shows no unread and mail app shows (1).

Same problem. Yahoo mail has an incorrect message count since installing ios7. In addition to the solutions here, I tried marking all messages as unread, then marking them as read using the new "edit" feature in mail.

Same problem with me using Yahoo Small Business accounts. The new mail count is showing me 7,200 new messages. This is the TOTAL number of messages on my inbox, not the NEW ones. Please Apple solve this issue with yahoo

Same problem here too. My Yahoo email account is showing 6 new emails, but the icon on my iPad with iOS7 (7.0.3) is showing 15. I deleted the account, rebooted the iPad and re-added it. The same 15 unread messages appear. Waiting patiently for a fix.

Same problem here. I think iOS7 has a bug, because Yahoo has not publicised any changes to its service recently.

Same problem here with Yahoo mail. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I have looked at Yahoo mail from all folders in my phone (running 7.0.3 now), as well as in a browser, looked at Inbox (empty), all Trash, Sent, etc. folders and they're completely empty on Yahoo servers.

I thought that 7.0.3 had initially cleared up this issue but it has reappeared, and I don't know how to fix it.

I'm pretty sure I fixed my problem by tapping Edit, Mark All, then Mark as Read in Mail on my iPad. Now the amount of unread emails is synched with my Yahoo Inbox through my computers web browser.
