Hi,
upgraded iPad 2 to iOS7u and now realize I cannot connect to projectors via the VGA adapter. It seems some other folks have a simliar problem. I use my iPad a lot in the lecture theatre and this lack of functionality is not clever. Any ideas folks, bearing in mind that institutions invariable have a wide range of projector ages from VGA to HDMI?

Turn off and turn on your ipad again and see if it will work. I had the same problem and that fixed it!
I believe everyone having the same problem, i tried in 4 ipad' s, just turn it off and turn it on, and enjoy.
I have tried turning my iPad off and on, with no result. This is impossible! What's the problem? I am a college professor and need to use my ad every day. It cannot now connect to the classroom projectors. Interestingly, my iPhone doe connect using the same VGA connector. Apple, please help!

I have the same problem. I'm currently on an iPad 2 w/iOS 7.03. I've tested all cables and adapters on an iPhone, they all pass. I've tried the iPad on several different monitors, they all fail. I've shut off and restarted my device, no change. I'm now trying to figure out how to roll back to iOS 6, or even "factory reset" my device (if that's even possible).
😠 In short, iPad2 + iOS7 = 30-pin to VGA FAIL !!! 😠
Has anyone come up with any solutions? Am a teacher and am desperate to be able to project all my resources! Any help?

In my case, it was a bad cable on the podium. IT replaced it and the problem was solved.
