Oct 29, 2013 3:19 PM in response to diesel vdubby OakForestLinda,My iPhone 4s worked seamlessly with the bluetooth in my 2007 Camry until I updated to ios 7. Now it will not pair. I had disconnected it for an unrelated reason, but now it does not pair. My husband, who drives a different car, tried pairing his iPhone 5 with the Camry Handsfree system. It worked fine. It is definitely the phone, not the car. I have tried various fixes found on these boards and also on other websites. None has worked. I am disgusted!!!

No, it really is not the phone or the car or iOS.
Delete the pairing on the device and in the car.
Pair them again.

Nov 27, 2013 9:20 AM in response to Bob9870by thepugnatious,This problem indeed is far more complex than it may seem. For many a simple solution is NOT the fix and when Genius Bar folks claim it is a hardware issue I highly doubt that so many people suddenly have hardware issues after upgrading to ios7
I have heard many people try many things, and no one seems to have a complete story where they have tried everything and the problem still persists so here is my story with bluetooth…
I have an iphone 5, upgraded to ios 7 with no problems under ios 6
My wife has the same phone & upgraded with the same path as me without any problems.
I find that my bluetooth crashes frequently. The symptoms for my situation include:
bluetooth disconnecting from any type of bluetooth device tested
Car (3 different tested)
Fitness tracker (2 tested)
Wireless speaker (1 tested)
hands free devices (3 tested)
The control center may show bluetooth on or off, and you can toggle the setting in the control center, but that does not result in any changes.
The bluetooth icon in the top right of the screen disappears.
In the settings under bluetooth it just has a spinning wheel and will not display on or off.
Attempted fixes
Restart phone - this rarely fixes the problem
Wait - sometimes waiting can work but I need to wait for 1-2 hours. Then bluetooth will crash again.
Reboot by holding both buttons - this will generally work, but only for a short time before the problem returns after 10-15 min.
Reset all settings - no effect
Erase all data and reset - no effect
Rename phone - no effect
Putting phone into airplane mode and back - sometimes works, but problem returns
Putting into airplane mode then resetting settings - no effect
Backing up phone and restore - no effect
Upgraded to 7.0.1, .2, .3, .4 - no effect
delete phone parings on ios & bluetooth devices & repair - no effect
I am hoping that this is a fix that can be repaired in 7.1 as I live 5 hours away from the closest Apple store…

Nov 27, 2013 3:03 PM in response to Bob9870by mmdevos,I have a brand new 5s and BT does not work. Shame on Apple -- last time I spent anything on them. IOS7 is a shame

Jan 29, 2014 7:12 AM in response to Bob9870by smax24,Same over here. My old phone was a Samsung Galaxy S2.
I bought a bluetooth headset (Phillips) and a Boombox (Logitech).
Everything worked just finde.
Now with my new expensive iPhone 5S i can't pair anything.
Some years ago BT was a technology to empower devices to connect easily.
This *****!
Kind Regards

Feb 14, 2014 10:50 AM in response to Michael Blackby Laneymv,Thanks for the reminder to remove the device and add it back. This has resolved my issue again. It seems like every few months there is a connectivity issues - although BT is connected I still get sound only out of the iPad speaker.

Feb 22, 2014 10:47 PM in response to Bob9870by bikertom,I too am having a similar Bluetooth problem. I paired my iPhone 4s with my SMH10. Everything was working fine, I had my helmet on was listening to music, I went to get on my motorcycle and pairing dropped. Now no matter what I do I cannot connect to any bluetooth devices.
Actions tried:
Powering off, powering on iPhone / Bluetooth device
Removing the BT profile, and tried to reinitialize pairing.
Upgraded the firmware on my SMH10, removed all the saved profile
Upgraded my iOS to the latest version.
I was able to successfully pair using my old iPhone 4, and my wifes iPhone 5s
I am also unable to connect to other bluetooth devices.
I am assuming my issue is a hardware issue not an iOS issue, but if anyone has any other suggestions please let me know.

Aug 2, 2014 7:03 AM in response to Bob9870by Keny Kleen,My I Phone 4 Bluetooth Kicks Out when I Play I Tunes or Streaming Pandora,Tune In or IHeart on Delphi Radio and Beats. Yea I Updated to IOS 7 too. Went into AT&T and was showed how to clear prior App usage. Seemed to fix the issue for a couple weeks. Started again and clearing doesn't seem to work any more. Also I shut down Phone and after a minute it starts up on its own. Even restarts Bluetooth on its own. I'my thinking it's Government spying and control. This is what happens when you include Al Gore and other Communists to the board.
MY new. IPad Air that I just upgraded to can't seem to discover any of my Radios or speakers.
