Update 10.8.5 problem, Update 10.8.5 freeze
I have an early 2008 Mac Pro 3,1 2 x 3.0 GHz quad core Intel Xenon with 32 GBs mem. 2 - OCZ Agility 450 GB SSD's on a Sonnet Tempo SSD Pro 6Gb/s SATA PCIe 2.0 Drive Card for SSDs formated as Raid 0, for boot drive and 1 - 2 TB HD for backup, also ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB. My Mac is in great shape and with 2 years use and no problems, I can say, I Luv my Mac. It currently has Mountain Lion build OS X 10.8.4 (12E55).
I apply all apple's updates when released thru App Store, but when Update 10.8.5 come out I had troubles . . . I installed and restarted as instructed, then the problem starts, I can no longer control mouse with my trac pad. There is no connection at all. I rebooted from restore partition and restored system, and now all fine. I tried the update again and got the same results. I rebooted from restore partition and restored system, and now all fine. I attempted the update again but displayed the updates contents and installed one update item at a time to see where the problem was. I was able to install all but the Digital RAW Compatibly Update 4.09 and OS X Update 10.8.5 - these two items would cause install errors and problems with my computer.
I don't think its a hardware issue because I have the same problem with my other Mac at home. I have a 2010 Mac Mini 4,1 2.4 GHz Intel core 2 Duo with 8GBs mem, NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB, 120 GB OWC Mercury Extreme Pro SSD. Same problem - different hardware. Any one having similar problem, and is it update issues?
Mac Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)
