Podcast playback sound gone

HI have a Mac Mini running on a vizio tv and ever since the last update i can play a video podcast while downloading more but I can not hear the sound of the video poscast untill the downloads have stoppred and I restart my computer.

Any thoughts?? it didn't use to be like this
