phone won't turn on or restore thru i tunes

phone shut down on me and i was able to use restore and get it working with the new ios 7. worked last night and was still working this morning. went to check my phone for message at work a few hours later and phone was completely dead and wouldn't turn on. even a hard reset did nothing. tried to restore it through i tunes again when i got home and the restore will not work. it extracts the software and then says "waiting for i phone"....and i waited for 3 hours and nothing. unpludded from USB and tried again, same thing??????????????? NOT A HAPPY CAMPER

If your iPhone isn't responding or is having issues restoring from iTunes, you may find the following articles helpful:

If you are able to restore the OS successfully, you may want to test it for a day or so in a "clean" configuration before returning any apps or restoring any backups to the phone.
