iTunesIf you mean ibooks then you might be able to use programs such as Calibre to read free ibooks or those from publishers such as O'Reilly who don't put digital rights management on them.
When OS X Mavericks is released later this year there will be an iBooks app for Macs, which should let you read all ibooks on a Mac (assuming that you upgrade to Mavericks) : http://www.apple.com/osx/preview/#ibooks
