I have gone in and changed most of the notification sounds to the newer ones. The odd thing is that the new mail sound will go back and forth between the previous selected sound and the new one. I have restarted the iPhone a few time but it is still happening. Any idea if there is a simple fix for this or do I need to restore?

If you made the settings changes in Sounds, then check your Notification Center for each of your Mail accounts. The settings there will override the ones in Sounds.

That was it! I have 4 mail accounts and all of them except for my iCloud mail account were using the new sound. Hope it sticks
