Q: 10.8.5 killed my bluetooth

Just updated and now my Apple Magic Mouse has lost functionality and the Bluetooth app in System Preference is gone.

Help.

iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

    This worked for me.

     

    1. Shut down.

    2. Disconnect main power (pull the plug.)

    3. Press power button and hold for 10 seconds (do this twice)

    4. Reconnect main power.

    5. Press power button.

     

    When it came back on, the Bluetooth worked and my Apple Magic Mouse was happy again.
