How to convert a DVD scene to an AVI format?

Hello folks,

I am doing a green screen scene from "The 40 year old Virgin" and all i need to do is bascially I need to take Chapter 6 " The waxing scene" and make it into a .avi format in order to edit my green screen scene.

The problem is normaly when you decompress or decrypt a dvd the files are VBD i believe of VBO and I dont know what to do from there.

Can someone guide me through this please, I would really appreciate it as I have been working so hard to figure this out.

thank you kindly,
Joey Dee

I had no idea why you would not want to help me "Jim Cookman" - I am not utilizing this for any commercial or profit from it. I am just doing a green screen test and I would really appreciate your help. You see this done many time on Saturday Night Live and no one gets in trouble mate. So please if you can help me out and don't accuse me of silly things.

The 'many times you have seen this on SNL' happened because the SNL producers secured the rights (permissions of copywrite holders) to the footage. You haven't.

Bypassing copyright protection is not going to fly within the terms of your agreement for the use of the forum. While I may have some issues with the way DRM is instituted and enforced, it is Apple's forum and you have agreed to the rules by posting here ...
