Fingerprint authentication for iTunes/Appstore purchasing does not work

I have a new iPhone 5S with iOS 7.0.1 installed. I activated the fingerprint authentication to unlock the iPhone and to use it with iTunes/Appstore purchasing. The unlock procedure works excellent. BUT I only get the Apple-ID/password windows if I try to download or to by an App in Appstore! Nothing happens If I try to use the fingerprint after appearing this authentication window. Is this also a iOS software bug?

Well interesting.

I woud suggest then:

1. Settings - General - Passcode & Fingerprint - iTunes & AppStore: OFF

2. Settings - iTunes & AppStore - Logout

3. Settings - General - Reset All Settings

4. Restart Device

5. Settings - iTunes & AppStore - Login

6. Settings - General - Passcode & Fingerprint - iTunes & AppStore: ON

Let me know,

I tried the following. I disabled the "restriction" setting in "general" and disable the fingerprint setting for App/iTunes purchasing. Then I restarted the iPhone. Then I enabled the fingerprint setting for App/iTunes purchasing. After that the fingerprint can be used for App/iTunes purchasing. BUT if I configure the "require password" setting in "general" - "restrictions" to "immediate" the the fingerprint authentication for App/iTunes purchasing is NOT working. If set this setting to "15 minutes" the fingerprint authentication is working. But was is trhe reason for that? How can I use the fingerprint authentication for App/iTunes purchasing with "immediate" confirmation? It seems that is another iOS 7 software bug.

That's the point. I turned restrictions ON and set the password required setting to immediate. Because I prefer to use some other restriction settings to prevent access to my iPhone data. And if the restrictions are turned ON the fingerprint authentication is not working for App store purchasing if the password required setting is set to "immediate". And that should not be.

Thanks for information. Ok it's documented "... Note: Touch ID cannot be used for purchases if Require Password in Settings > General > Restrictions is set to Immediately."

But what is the sense behind this? In my opinion it's a security risk. As an example, I buy something in App store authorising with touch ID. Then I'm searching for other interesting apps and inadvertently click on "buy" some minutes later. As I understand the touch ID authentication will not appear again for authorising - right?

Ok but I hope Apple will provide a solution in the future to use touch ID with restrictions On and "immediate" authentication.

That's the second point for me that Apple "didn't say why". The other problem in iOS 7 is, that playlists with videos doesn't play in landscape fullscreen with iOS 7. Now the cover flow screen appear if I try this. And Apple also "didn't say why"! But that is posted in some other treads.

Very strange that "Apple didn't say why"!
