iDVDBurn Error!!!!

Hi Everyone,

I recently finished off an 11 minute video sequence using Final Cut Express HD. I exported the video as a Quick Time movie into iDVD. During burning in iDVD the exterior DVD burner (Plextor) that I have would pop open and my screen would say Burning Complete with (Errors happened during multiplexing). I tried to view the DVD in my personal DVD player and it worked only to a certain part! If anyone knows what is causing this could you please help for I am getting so frustrated because I have never had a problem like this before!

Thanks!

Ryan

Hello, ryeguy,
I appreciate your frustration....your DVD will not play further than that 'certain part' because the burn was interrupted by whatever is causing the error.

What type of DVD are you using for burning? Often the 'multiplexing' errors relate to bad media. Verbatim DVD-R 4x is highly recommended.

Also, can you 'save as disk image'? That is the best way to determine errors before trying an actual burn and wasting DVD disks.

Do some housekeeping before trying it again...repair permissions, delete iDVD plist, delete encoded assets and try creating your disk image.
