iPad transparency not working ios 7

Try looking in the accessibility settings under general in settings. Make sure reduced motion is turned on. Some of the older gen ipads do not fully support the transparency effects. Essentially ios7 looks best only on apples latest devices.

I have ipad2.. So does my sister and hers works perfect. My menu bar, control center and personal folders for multiple apps ( news, games etc,) are nothing but an ugly medium solid gray color! Please help, did the download go wrong? Called Apple and they suggested a System. Restore. NO way,

You can try Settings>General>Accessibility>Increase Contrast>Off

Try a different wallpaper. My bookmarks and status bar are a pretty blue.

Then your control centre will have the apps color behind it. So again it depends on how you arrange those as well.

I need to edit what I said. Mine was a glitch, not cosmetic. I believe yours may be cosmetic and you can just try what I suggested about experimenting with wallpapers.

Test it out over coloured backgrounds or wallpaper.

I will give DIFFERENT wallpapers a try. But the one I am using currently is really pretty colorful. I thought ipad 2 was supposed to be supported ( according to Apple! ). But some of the bloggers are saying ipad 2 is NOT supported for this iOS 7 update. Which is it? Thanks for your advice,

Spple needs to go back to the drawing board! Think??? Do you guess they MIGHT have upgrades in the future for all these glitches we are experiencing? My NEXT pad will NOT be ab APPLE! I hate what they just did! I NEVER have this problem with my ANDROID galaxy S4 ,, or my older galaxy either! It's ANDROID for me from now on!

No idea about that. It seems that those of us with devices that needed to be updated to this as opposed to new devices it came installed with are having various issues. I have Russian music app, whereas others with same iPad as me don't. If that makes sense

In any case if you think it might be a glitch in yours like it was with my phone. I would suggest you do a complete reset

Settings, general reset, reset all settings.

What I mean by edit your preferences: you will have to pick your wallpaper, sounds for apps again, go thru all the notifications and things within the settings app. To how you prefer them to be. Once you've dine this reset. It restarts your phone.

Check that your software is up to date. There was an update issued after IOS7. It should be IO7.2 now.
