Sep 25, 2013 9:29 AM in response to TyBrewerby 105437,I have the exact same issue!
Use fingerprint and set passcode has only one option... Immediately
Turn fingerprint off and use the 4-digit PIN and I have more options up to 15 minutes.
Why Apple, why?

You are not talking to Apple here. We are all users like yourself.

Nov 13, 2013 4:40 PM in response to 105437by wcwestfeldt,I don't agree with the configuration, but I think I know "why." When the fingerprint function is working well, you need to hit the home button to activate and then again for the unlocking fingerprint. This can be a quick double tap. However, it doesn't work that well that often and I am now using an Otter case. So bye bye fingerprint. I also wish I had a longer option than 5 minutes for the screen to turn off.

Nov 13, 2013 5:15 PM in response to TyBrewerby ChrisJ4203,The iPhone 5s that uses Touch ID is configured by default to use the Immediately setting. It is done that way on purpose. See this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5883 especially under the notes section:
- Using Touch ID sets your Require Passcode setting to Immediately. You still have the option of entering your passcode simply by sliding to unlock.

Nov 13, 2013 5:46 PM in response to ChrisJ4203by wcwestfeldt,Yeah, yeah. But once again the point is missed. Let us, the users decide. I would like to have my iphone on for an hour without any display loss or need to unlock. It should be my choice not Apples.

Nov 13, 2013 5:48 PM in response to wcwestfeldtby ChrisJ4203,Well then why don't you tell Apple that, instead of telling users like you? To get the word to Apple, you need to go to the feedback page, at www.apple.com/feedback and click on the appropriate link. No one here can help you with your choices.

Nov 13, 2013 5:58 PM in response to TyBrewerby Ralph9430,Are these phones provided by your employer? If so contact the IT department. They will tell you it's for security purposes that the immediate pass ode lock is implemented.
