Before iOS 7 on my iPhone five I used to be able to close the apps to preserve battery life, by double-clicking home button and accessing the apps there
That no longer works, what's the process to close apps with iOS 7?

It is almost the same. Double tap the home button to open the multitasking window. Swipe up on the apps you want to close.

Thank you thom at first I was trying to do that with the app itself but the multitasking window above works great thank you very much
Btw, Is there a setting and preferences to close apps once you leave them, that only makes sense, leaving open like that is a pain in the butt, Why don't they quit when you leave the app why do they stay open?
