What if I live in Beirut, Lebanon?

My friend is moving to Beirut for study—she'd like a Mac, but can't see past the seeming lack of technical support/service availability in the unlikely event her Apple product (possibly this nice new iMac) begins to act-up.

What's the best way to find out how comprehensive Apple support/product service is in Beirut, Lebanon? I've searched around online but haven't found any amount of substantial insight with regard to the topic.

Didn't know where else to post a question like this.
Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

I'd tell your friend not to worry, as she will most likely never have an issue with her Mac that requires a service tech. Most technical issues / questions can be resolved on message boards like this.
If she still wants peace of mind, she can purchase Applecare. She would just have to mail the computer in if she did in fact have an unsolvable issue.

daniel,

i live in beirut lebanon, and that issue really concern me too since i'm willing to buy an imac soon.
a 20" imac cost around 2300$! sold and repaired at a few acclaimed 'authorised' resellers.
they usually offer a one year warranty but not sure if they're really authorised to repair, but you've no other option.

these stores belong to this network: www.appleme.ae
