Since downloading the iOS 7 update,I have not received notifications (vibration or sound) of any kind when my phone is in the sleep mode or the locked screen mode. I've checked every possible setting there is and none has solved this problem. I believe this is a glitch in the update. What can be doe to resolve this issue? Can I revert back to the former iOS?

Thanks Chris. Not sure how that happened.
Even though you discover that the Do not Disturb mode was activated. You should check out the new settings for vibration. In ios7 you have the ability to disable vibration when you have the ringer switch to "silent", orange bar showing. Basically making it in Do Not Disturb, but you'll still see the notifications on the screen.
You could enable or disable vibration phone wide for both ringer on or silent on.
