My husband deleted my laptop's bookmark bar from his iPad. We didn't realize in doing so it would wipe it out on the laptop, too!
The iPad is using the same AppleID/iCloud as the laptop.
On the laptop, go to iCloud Control panel and uncheck Bookmarks.

I use my laptop for sending and receiving emails, I rarely use my ipad for this. When I turn on the ipad hundreds of emails are received that I have replied to, deleted etc. How can I stop the mail from ipad without deleting the email address, just in case I need later. Is there a way to just "unsync" the two???
Synced my iPad & laptop with iTunes early on; now I want to unsync them to prevent communication between devices; i.e., gmails, YouTube videos and other stuff used by a family member are showing up on my laptop, which I don't want. How do I do that? I did not request the family sharing feature.

Glindot, we have the same problem. We're not sure how it came to be, but our iPad is synced with our MacBook Pro. My husband deleted my laptop's bookmark bar from his iPad. We didn't realize in doing so it would wipe it out on the laptop, too!

Thanks. I was trying it from the other end where iTunes sync option showed the home computer and I assumed that it was something that I set up when the iPad was new and I should be able to change to none. Thanks again.

In iTunes, Edit > Preferences > Devices, check the "Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically" box. You can then plug in your iPad without it syncing.
