The apple wireless keyboard stopped responding shortly after io7 update.  It shows the Bluetooth device as connected in Bluetooth/Devices setting but the only key that seems to be working on the wireless keyboard is the eject key symbol at the top far right, which brings the on screen keyboard up and down on the ipad screen.  At first it thought it might be a battery issue so I replaced the batterie's, did not help. Then I went and bought a new apple wireless keyboard thinking the device may be defective.  The new keyboard responded exactly the same.

    Hello Khalighi,

     

    Thank you for the detailed description of the issue you are experiencing when pairing the Apple Bluetooth keyboard with your iPad.  I recommend following these steps for the issue you described:

     

    Bluetooth disconnects, intermittent connectivity, or unable to find

    • Move your iOS device closer to the Bluetooth accessory.
    • Position your iOS device and Bluetooth accessory in direct line of sight of each other. For example, move the Bluetooth accessory and iOS device to the same side of your body.
    • Remove any case, stand, or other accessories from your iOS device and see if performance improves.
    • Check for sources of potential interference and move both the iOS device and the Bluetooth accessory away from other electronic devices.
    • Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
      • Note: This will reset all network settings including: previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords, recently used Bluetooth accessories, VPN, and APN settings.

     

    Additional Information

    • If the steps above have not resolved the Bluetooth behavior you are experiencing, perform a software restore in iTunes.
    • If the issue persists after restoring your iOS device in iTunes, contact Apple for support and service options.

    hi Sheila,

    I've just bought a wireless keyboard for my Ipad 2 and it seems a lot of the keys aren't working, including the arrows, function,, tab.  I noticed you put to do a software update, are you able to explain how you do this please. Thanks
