Hi, I currently have itouch 4. Some of the song on this is not on my laptop since I just manually copied it from other laptop. So my question is, If I back up it with my laptop, will it also copy the songs that is not on my laptop and back up or only the songs that are on my laptop?? Thanks!

NO. The backup does not included synced media like apps and music.

I see. so it is not possible to copy all the songs from the ipod to a new itunec?
Through third party apps it might work, but theoretically lllaass is right as no music or apps are copied.

It says you use the following for iTunes purchases:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
For non iTunes purchases you use on of the third-party programs listed in the Media Recovery software section of the article/link
