Thanks for the question.
When sending an iTunes Gift, the recipient will need to redeem the gift via email (the email address you specified when sending). This email will include a "Redeem" button, and the recipient will need to sign in to the iTunes Store with their Apple ID.
If the recipient did not receive the gift email, you may want to resend the gift:
