Migration issue - switching identities in order to access imported files

I did a migration from a MacBook Air to an iMac. Now the iMac requires me to log out of my iMac identity and log into a clone of my MacBook Air's identity to access the data I brought in. Is it possible to move the imported files onto my iMac identity?

See Pondini's Transferring files from one User Account to another. Alternatively, consider starting over and using the Setup Assistant on first boot to do the migration. That eliminates multiple account conflicts. See Pondini's Setup New Mac guide.
