How to write on a check mark
Final Cut Pro 7, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5), FC Studio 3, Adobe Latest
This is a hard question to answer because there are so many different ways to do this effect.
The *easiest* way is to use the Bezier Pen tool and click a point a little further out from the beginning of the checkmark, then another in the "corner" and the last outside the end of the checkmark.
Type the return key to create an "open" path.
In the shape inspector, uncheck the Fill (blue dot, if showing; Fill automatically turns off if you select Brush Type: Airbrush in the Outline section).
For the Outline, set the width to however wide you need to cover the checkmark shape.
Right click on the bezier path you created and select Add Image Mask.
Click on the checkmark layer from the PS file and drag it onto the Image Mask layer for the bezier path.
Now, in the shape inspector for the bezier path, down near the bottom is a slider for Last Point Offset. Set the playhead to where you want the animation to begin and set a keyframe (when you mouse over the property, click on the yellow "diamond" that appears). Move the playhead forward a few frames and slide the Last Point Offset to 100%. Play.
Thanks very much that did work nicely
