Q: I can no longer use google map or other applications that require Wi-Fi since I updated my iPhone 4S to IOS7, what gives?

Having trouble with Wi-Fi with my iPhone 4S since I updated to IOS7, I can no longer use google maps and other applications when I'm on the road, why us this happening? It no longer shows 4G in the too left hand corner, my carrier is AT&T.
