How to close apps at bottom of screen for new iphone update?

Updated my phone 7ios can't close open apps at bottom of screen its causing my phone to drain battery

Don't quite understand what you're asking but I think you mean the apps running in the background?. If thats the case do this:


- double tap the home button

- swipe the app up you wish to close

Also a new feature in iOS 7 called "Background App Refresh" can use a bit of battery life so it wouldn't hurt to also turn this off. You can do this by going to settings>general>background app refresh.
