How do I cancel the app that I have purchased

I would like to cancel an application that I have purchased. I am being charged on a weekly basis for this app and I do not use it. If i just delete the icons I am still going to get craged or no? Can some one give me the answer please, I could not find any answer on the site. Thanks in advance
