Cannot swipe to unlock

daughters new 5C 4 days old, updated lastnight to latest , worked fine all day, now cannot swipe to unlock or to power off, swipe up reveals control center, but no touches work, swipe down from top reveals calendar anw weathwer but no touch functions?

anybody experience this?

iPhone 5c, iOS 7

The swipe to unlock must be done from left to right.

Try this First... Then try again

Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...

Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...

Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)

Release the Buttons...
