PowerPoint keeps freezing on my MacBook Pro. Any ideas?

1. When you say "freezing" do you mean that you see the spinning beach ball of death, which eventually resolves, or does the app completely crash, and must be force quit, or you have to restart?
2. What specifically are you trying to do with Powerpoint when it freezes? Is it when you have video in your presentation?
3. How much RAM do you have?
4. How full is your hard drive?
5. A good place to start would be to boot into your recovery partition and repair your hard drive: When to Run First Aid in Mountain Lion's Disk Utility - For Dummies

Quit PP.

Go to your Finder "Go" menu hold the option key to choose "Library". Then go to Preferences/com.microsoft.Powerpoint.plist and move that file to your Desktop. Launch PP.

If that works you can delete the plist from your Desktop.
