Airport Utility 6.3.1 - Bug?

I only ask if theres a bug as I couldn't get a previous Airport express (APX) to show in the utility which lead me to believe it was hardware iisue, so long story short got a new one from Apple to find exactley same symptoms, however the APX is fully functioning.

Using airstream now and can access all Sky tv on demand download menus etc.

Looking at the utility now it shows the APX is fine but earlier it was showing exclamation and asking if I wanted to forget it.... Reckon I got the new unit for no reason, no plus side as the old one has been, lets say decommissioned : ).

I did read a lot of issue threads and downloaded older utility and pacifist etc.... gotta be a bug in the utility surely?
