UnConundrum

Q: Out of office rule causes non-delivery notices to admin

I have a very active user who receves a couple hundred valid emails daily.  He is leaving for a convention and enabled an out of office rule to auto-respond to emails, indicating he'll be out of the office untll a certain date.  Unfortunately, when spam slips through, the rule repsonds, and the response is undeliverable.  That results in the server issing notices to me that the email was undeliverable.  The new mail interface doesn't offer much in the way of options, and while I've played with postfix on an Ubuntu server, OS X always alters the file locations and I can't keep everything straight.  Can I temporarily redirect these admin notices elsewhere or eliminate them alltogether?  I guess I could create an alias for MAILER-DAEMON if there is no other solution.  Any ideas?
