I'm still having trouble getting the p06-smtp option to work. I have added this server, made sure the port is 587 and taken off @me.com but so far no luck. How do you set TLS? I can see how you uncheck the SSL setting but does that make it default to the TLS? Thanks for help with this. I can't even access my mail from iCloud. It is driving me crazy!

Thank you b_chevy!!! I have not been able to send email for 2 days. I could receive but not send, my husband has (had) the same problem. After changing my outgoing smtp to p06-smtp.mail.me.com everything now works. Because I was uncertain if you typed a zero or an O, I copied your text and pasted it in my Outlook account. This may help some people who are having problems with this solution. BTW we have PCs using Windows 7 and use Outlook 2007. It seems too coincidental that Apple sent us both emails 2 days ago saying that our iCloud storage had expired. We have had me.com email accounts for more than 3 years now so iCloud storage is supposed to be a free service. Do not understand the email they sent, but after that we lost the ability to send email until entering the new outgoing smtp information you provided. Thanks again.

It's clear that entering the following for the SMTP server name will resolve the Send issues (use copy/paste to get it correct): p06-smtp.mail.me.com

However, everyone should be aware of a bigger issue in that Apple has automatically billed $40 plus tax for iCloud storage (25 GB) upon our anniversary of signing up for iCloud. My apple account was billed on 9/30/2013. Previously, all loyal customers had received the storage for free, so the sudden billing is a shock.

You can downgrade the storage option, but I'm currently trying to "contact Apple within 15 days to get a refund in States where the law mandates." Good luck trying to get through all the customer service options to actually talk to someone to make the request.

It's obvious the mail sending affected many scores of people. The sudden charges for what once was free iCloud storage will impact many more...

Anyone else see those charges show up yet?

Why do I need to duplicate the process again when it was already virtually impossible to reach anyone in the first place? And why does Apple charge $40 for iCloud storage when it had been free for years?

Not saying this will resolve everything but it should help

In Outlook click

File

Options

Add-ins

Click on iCloud Outlook Add-in

look towards bottom left for Manage

Click on COM Add-ins and select Disables Items and click go

Select Addin Icloud Outlook Add-in and click on Enable

You will need to close Oulook and WAIT about 30 seconds.

Restart outlook and the refresh button is back

Good luck
