I have a Mac mini, iPad, and Apple TV. All are up to date with the latest software. I have all my media saved to the mini, and through home sharing on both the iPad and Apple TV individually. From the music app on the iPad, I am able to access my iTunes library on my mini and use air play to listen to the music through Apple TV. The current song playing will display on the tv. When I try do the same with the video app, the same features aren't there. It won't remember to use the shared library, and only will AirPlay the audio.
