Keynote files on AFP volumes deleting themselves

Hi There,

We're noticing some weirdness with our main file server, we have various keynote bundles spread all over the server, so this issue seems to be affecting different departments with varying levels of permissions.

What's happening is, Keynote bundles are being opened straight off of the file server from client workstations, Keynote *might* crash and when it does, it takes the entire Keynote structure out with it, as in completely deleted, the only way I can get the Keynote file back is to restore from backup.

What I have been advising users to do is to copy Keynote files to their local account on their workstation, make changes and then copy the Keynote bundle back to the file server.

However, as many of you may know, educating users is easy, however, getting them to adhere to taking 30 seconds extra is something they usually can't be bothered to do!

The file server is an Xserve running 10.6.8 Server with 10gb of ram.

Has anyone seen this issue, and have they managed to fix it?

Xserve, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
